Pramlee is a character that is based on someone that was a friend of mine years past. This friend was certainly different than most. She was a practicing Wiccan, and her physical traits gave a Gothic inspiration. She naturally had black hair, although at times that color would be violet or even blue and always kept it short. She wore a lot of black and she listened to Gothic music.
The one big trait that 'Pramlee" has that I drew for inspiration, is that fact that she always seems oblivious to things going on around her in the story, but ironically has a knack for clever problem solving that leaves her fellow Spirit Guides taken back. My friend was much like that and with that said, made her even more interesting.
Her personality was a big of a conundrum...she had a very big sense of humor and always picked up on the sarcasm I am famous for, however, despite the awareness of it, sometimes she didn't "get" what I was talking about. There were times when I would say things that were not meant to be funny at all, and for what ever reason she would die laughing and hang onto the moment for years later...I still never understood the whole of it. She was quite the cat lover and a collector of crystal quartz. She showed up at my house with a 1 foot long quartz she found while digging at a famous place known for quartz. It was 5 sided, called an Isis Quartz. Considered very powerful in healing and calling upon Spirits.
I have grown more fond of Pramlee as I continue to write the series. Her quirkiness really comes out in book three that I am nearing the end of writing.
I will say my books aren't for everyone, they are written in third person and there is a lot going on in this book. I had a reviewer come out and say that it was disappointing because it was written like a teen book, but with an adult plot. When I read the review, I said to myself, I did my job! A book that could be appealing to a larger audience.
I write like books I like. If there isn't a whole lot going on with several characters, I am bored to tears! My writing style is not for everyone, but that's my style! If you have
to read a slow moving book that isn't that complicated, written in first person, then this book isn't for you. If you like that kind of book...you can find it at the link below...happy reading!
The second book to the series launches September 29th!
